Snail Art

Posted by: supahcute on: August 12, 2008

Q: What do you get when you combine snails with art?

A: Inner City Snail - a slow-moving street art project

Normally I don’t like snails; I don’t like anything that leaves slime. For this, I’ll make an exception. The site is by the same person who runs Little People – a tiny street art project. Inner City Snail looks like it hasn’t been updated in a while, but I like what they have.

My friend’s daughter loves snails, and I think she’ll appreciate some snail art. Mia, this one’s for you!

OH! i am showing her this when she wakes up from naptime. she will be SO EXCITED! i totally know what she’s going to say, too!

“mama! it’s a snail!”
“snail! where you going, snail?”

awww, i’m excited for her. :)

Okay, that book is awesome. I want that.

Snails are okay I suppose. As long as it ain’t slug art. Gross.

slug art – that’s a gross concept, but i bet some artist could do something with that.

These are cute :)

And I appreciate the lack of vomiting bunny image in the header. Heh. I couldn’t look at that!

haha! i’m glad you like the new layout. :)

yup. snail art was a big hit with mia.

although, she had a hard time telling what the snail with people on it was. she was all, “WHAT’S THAT?!” hehe.

i’m glad she liked it. :D did you tell her that they’re itty bitty people?

i did. hehe. i think she was a little confuzzed, though. hehe.

that’s cute. i like fake snails, real snails are kinda icky.

actually the artist does use real snails for his art.

ha! i’m laughing at myself because i thought they looked pretty realistic for fake snails, but it’s made by an artist so i kinda thought… lol, oh well.
