Unique Los Angeles was a complete success. As expected, we spent all of our cash in a few hours and left with puny wallets. That’s okay though. I met Claire of Absolutely Small, and her booth was so cute. I also met The Frantic Meerkat and The Mincing Mockingbird; very cool people.

We tried Cake Monkey Bakery, and it was so good! They didn’t have their fancy cakes, so we tried their Cakewich and L’il Merri. The L’il Merri is the gourmet version of the oatmeal creme pie, and it was addictive. Diet be damned!

Got some awesome letterpress cards at Dee & Lala.

Picked up a few stickers from Sticker Sisters.

Loved the cute baby blankets by Mimi and Lola.
The venue had plenty of space, and they even had a make-shift taco stand. The carne asada tacos were decent. We had a fabulous time at Unique Los Angeles, and we’re already looking forward to the next one.

i heard you went! i was there yesterday; i loved dee & lala’s stuff. i bought a lil monster hat and a ton of cards, also some i heart guts stickers.
i stocked up on cards, too. i saw the I Heart Guts booth but i was out of moneyz by then.
dammit to hell…
we were supposed to head over but it didn’t work out.
I was looking forward to a review on supahcute tho.
next time for sure….
I’m glad the cake monkey bakery was good stuff. If its cute, it better taste cute.
i saw quite a few t-shirt/apparel makers. i wonder if you know any of them…hrm.
Cake Monkey is working on opening their own store [according to their website]. when they do, it’s over. i’m eating them all!
*GASP*
gourmet oatmeal creme pies?! i would’ve purchased like, ten, and then snarfed them all on the spot. hehe.
oh i know. kicking myself for not getting more. we ate 1 there and took 1 to go. that one didn’t last long.
