I never knew that January 5th is National Bird Day but now I do. In honor of birds, Cactus Gallery and Animal Protection Institute are hosting Bird is the Word, a bird-themed art show. That’s a cool theme for an art show, and that flyer is quite cute.

Bird is the Word opens at Cactus Gallery on Janurary 10th with an opening reception from 7 – 10 pm. They’ll also have a closing reception on February 8th from 3 – 6 pm.

Here is one of the pieces by Kim Bagwill (aka The Frantic Meerkat); her fiance The Mincing Mockingbird will also be participating in the show.
