The Totoro Forest Project is a special exhibition featuring artwork inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s My Neighbor Totoro. Over 200 artists participated in the group show, and there was a benefit auction last September. Proceeds from the auction will support The Totoro No Furusato National Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of Japan’s Sayama Forest.

The Totoro Forest Project is currently on display at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco; the shows runs until February 8th. Don’t you love that display wall? To see more pictures, visit the TFP blog. If you’re unable to make it to the Bay Area, you can view all artwork at the official website. Just click “Gallery” under the banner. My favorite pieces are the ones that interpret Totoro and friends.

Cartoon Art Museum sounds like a cool place. it’s on the must-see list.
