Kibun Plush Kickstarter Project

Meet Kibun, a character created by Andrew Lum of Raw Emotion. One of Kibun’s recognizable traits is his serious demeanor, as he doesn’t feel or show emotion. Hence the name Kibun, which means to feel. Read the first chapter of Kibun’s story – sad and beautiful at the same time.

This is the Kibun plush toy. The goal of this Kickstarter project is to get these Kibun toys made and shipped to backers by June. I fell in love with Kibun, and I’ve backed this project. Learn more about the Kibun project here. (The video intro to Kibun is really well done.)

I love Kickstarter, and Kibun is adorable, but $9,000 is a bit steep. :-(

  2. Supahcute says:

Irit: I don’t know how much it costs to produce a toy so I can’t comment on that. I think it’s reasonable to charge $25 for a Kibun though.

  3. Andrew Lum says:

Hi, just checking in. Thanks for posting by the way!
$9k is a lot, but when you do the math of factory minimums/freight/shipping costs/and extra fees, it really does come to that amount. The $25 price includes shipping within US.

  4. Supahcute says:

Hi Andrew, you’re very welcome! I hope your project gets funded because I really need a Kibun. Also, thanks for clarifying!

  5. Irit says:

Andrew: I did not mean to disrespect your project, and I do wish it gets funded. Best of luck! :-)

  6. Andrew says:

No problems here. This is just something we thought we’d try.
If it doesn’t make the quota by March 19th, then we can shelf it for later.
The main priority is the artwork which will truly explain the character, his personality, and story.

Tell me how you really feel!
