Whether you live in San Diego or are just visiting for SDCC, go visit Blind Lady Alehouse to see their new pop-up art show. “EXTINCTION: Gone By Way of the Dodo” is a collaborative project by Susie Ghahremani and Irene Stone.

The project aims to harmonize both form and subject by using an “extinct” craft to revive extinct animals. For the show, cross-stitched portraits were handcrafted by Irene Stone based upon original drawings & paintings by Susie Ghahremani of extinct and endangered animals. The show only runs through July 18, so go see it before they’re really gone for good!
