On October 20, geek out with Genevieve Santos at her first official solo show. Held at Sweet Breams, “Growing Up Geek” is her homage to a geeky childhood: Inspired by true events–like being a Trekkie for Halloween in the 4th grade, my wildly unhealthy obsession with Dr. Mario, and actually owning the “I Want To Believe” poster from The X-Files–the pieces are a peek into my childhood of video games, comics, and sci-fi.

“Growing Up Geek” opens with a reception on October 20 from 6-9pm. In addition to original works and new prints, Genevieve will have a limited edition Doctor Who-inspired line of cards and prints and free laser cut charms for attendees. The show will run through December 16.
