Leslie Levings posted photos of her piece for Supahcute Science Fair, and holy biology, it is amazing!! This piece is titled “So Many Marvels” and that really is the perfect name for it.
Leslie describes her piece: “I’ve designed it to sit on one of those invisible shelves, so the whole thing actually attaches to a wall. It’s a bit different from my usual work, but I hope you like it!”
Supahcute Science Fair opens at Leanna Lin’s Wonderland on Saturday, March 8 with a reception from 6-10pm! If you’re interested in the online preview, sign up for Leanna Lin’s Wonderland’s email list and check the “Art Gallery Preview List” box before submitting. Those who are already subscribed to the Supahcute email list will receive the preview link as well.
On October 19, Monkeyhouse Toys presents “Story Time Group Show” featuring original works by over 40 artists who created an original character they would have loved to watch on TV or read about in a book when growing up. Each piece is accompanied by a short story written by the artist.
Here is a sneak preview of Leslie Levings’ piece for the show. It looks like that blue Beastlie is telling an epic story!
“Story Time Group Show” opens on October 19 with a family-friendly exhibition from 5-8pm. Free Bleenkies character buttons and coloring pages will be available while supplies last!

This forest beast by Leslie Levings and Shing Yin Khor is too spectacular for words. In addition to preparing for The Corner Museum of Dubious Beasts, Leslie and Shing collaborated on this sleepy forest beast and fatty friends for Supah Mashup Art Party.
Leslie sculpted the big guy with its antlers and also painted the antlers. Shing added the fattybugs and mushrooms and provided the overall paint job. I love how this piece combines both of their styles so seamlessly.
The Forest Beast will be available at Supah Mashup Art Party on May 11. LA friends, don’t miss the dual opening receptions on May 11 (6-10pm)!!
To view and purchase pieces before the show opens, sign up for the Art Gallery Preview List. (Be sure to check the “special sneak peek” box before subscribing.) The preview list will be sent to subscribers on May 10.
