Chaff n’ Skaffs: Update

chaffbook

I’ve got a quick update on Chaff n’ Skaffs: Mai and the Lost Moskivvy, the first children’s book by Luke Feldman (SKAFFS) and Amanda Chin. You are looking at the final cover which is different from the one I initially saw. Chaff n Skaffs will be shipped in March 2009, and it’s currently available for pre-order.

Here is a teaser image from the book. If you look closely, you can see little koalas in the trees. Chaff looks smaller than I thought he would, and that adds to the cuteness level.

Chaff n’ Skaffs: Mai and the Lost Moskivvy

I really love this cover. Chaff n’ Skaffs: Mai and the Lost Moskivvy is an upcoming limited edition book illustrated by Luke Feldman (SKAFFS). He also co-wrote the book with Amanda Chin. The book will be available in February 2009, and you can pre-order an autographed copy from Immedium Press.

When a lost mosquito interrupts young Mai’s sleep, her friend Chaff suggests they escort Moskivvy home. So begins a courageous girl’s voyage into a fantastic, colorful world. Guided by Chaff, Mai’s incredible journey will kindle readers’ imaginations.

The book woud be great for both kids and SKAFFS fans.

EDIT: Luke Feldman clarified that this is the final cover of his book -

Where the Wild Art Is

If you’re of a certain age, you still remember the awesomeness of Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are. I think that’s one of the first books that my parents ever got for me. When I saw this sneak preview on Luke Feldman’s blog, I became all giddy.

The preview is for “Where the Wild Art Is!,” an exhibition of Maurice Sednak’s artwork featuring SKAFFS (Luke Feldman). The show takes place at the Wonderful World Animation Gallery in Culver City, and it opens on November 13th from 7-10pm. This is the first I’ve heard of this show, and I have already marked my calendar.
