Martin Hsu recently revealed the new Dragon Boy colorway at Young Art Taipei Exhibition in Taiwan. Designed for Wingrow Gallery in Taiwan, the brand new colorway is inspired by colors from Chinese folk art. I must have this!!

In addition to the new vinyl figures, 2 life-size fiberglass Dragon Boys (original and Wingrow colorways) were on display at the show, and they both sold! See more photos from Young Art Taipei on Martin’s Facebook page.

Interested in purchasing the new Wingrow colorway? Contact Martin at info@martinhsu.com to be placed on a pre-sale list. He will only have a total of 20 APs to release online and at San Diego Comic-Con.

If you preordered the OG Dragon Boy, your wait will soon be over. Martin expects to receive them at his doorstep sometime in June. All pending orders will ship first, and he will be planning a second official release in June.

Save the date! On March 16, WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney® District will be releasing Martin Hsu‘s “Maleficent’s Wish” as a deluxe print. Meet Martin that same day for a special signing from 3-5pm. The original painting was created for WonderGround’s ‘Good vs. Evil’ group exhibition.

The house from “My Neighbor Totoro” really exists! Artist Martin Hsu had an opportunity to visit Satsuki and Mei’s house and has shared photos from his visit on his blog. Bursting with all the saccharine sweet and fantastical happiness that over 50 fine artists, illustrators, animators and sculptors can dream up, “I Believe in Unicorns, Too!” is the over-the-top celebration of enchantment and wonder you need and crave in a world filled with cynicism and despair.

Special guest author/ illustrator Cole Moss will be in the gallery on opening night
to sign his new book “Why Unicorn Drinks.” Learn the dark intricacies of Moss’ oddball unicorn and then share a special moment with Moss in our Magical Unicorn Photo Wonderland!

Open to the public, the gallery reception for “I Believe in Unicorns, Too!” is from 7 -10PM on Saturday, February 16th. The exhibit will run through March 23rd, 2013.
