Get the Adventure Time X MIMOBOT Series or you’ll get punched in the buns!! Mimobot will be at 2 booths: #4936 and #2913M. Fionna is the SDCC Exclusive, and you can purchase Finn, Jake, and Princess Bubblegum online.

Giant Robot will have Mari Inukai’s exclusive GID Nekomitaina at booth #1729. She’ll be signing on Sunday 1-3pm.

While you’re at Giant Robot’s booth, check out the Remix Project featuring customized Uglydolls and David Horvath vinyls.

Speaking of Uglydolls, be sure to catch Power Babo at Uglydoll booth #3245.

Martin Hsu’s booth #5015 will be packed with awesome goodies, including 5 Puffer Puss plush!

This isn’t an exclusive, but it’s worth mentioning… visit Dragatomi booth #4935 to see the prototype of Phil Lumbang’s Awesome Bear character sculpted by the talented Chauskoskis.

We arrived at Designer Con early, and the first booth I visited was Martin Hsu‘s. I know you guys have noticed that I’ve been obsessing over the Puffer Puss designer plush. As soon as I saw her, it was love at first sight.

Lana Crooks did a fantastic job of bringing Martin’s vision to life. It’s amazing to know that every detail is handmade!

Puffer Puss does have a tremendous head, so she needs to be propped up a certain way. I have mine displayed in a colander, and that works for me.

The early bird gets the Puffer Puss, and I did get #1. I am definitely going to frame this.

The limited run at Designer Con and the limited sale to Facebook fans have all sold out. However, Lana is working on the second release which will be available “in a month right before the holidays.” Follow the CRAKENS Facebook page to stay informed!

Designer Con 2011: Quick Recap

I accomplished a lot at this year’s Designer Con. I found a new favorite artist – Doubleparlour. This was their first time attending Designer Con, and their booth was my absolute favorite. (My boyfriend bought the cat lady in red, and I bought the kitten kid in yellow.)

I picked up my Marlowe pre-order set from Shing Yin Khor (Sawdust Bear). She started our day right with back-breaking hugs and mimosas. We heart you!!

I got my Puffer Puss plush!! Martin Hsu and Lana Crooks did such a great job. Full review coming soon.

I always wanted a pink Beastlies, and I found the perfect one yesterday.

I saw lots of cool, new stuff and took some photos. Over the next few days, I’ll post individual recaps of my favorite artists and vendors. Designer Con was so inspiring that I’m kinda-sorta-maybe considering getting a booth next year. :)

Puffer Puss designer plush- Limited Ed. of 50 with first release of only 15!  Each plush comes with art card signed & numbered by myself and Lana.
