Photos from “Robots – A Benefit for Giant Robot 2″

If you love robots and mechs, you must check out “Robots – A Benefit for Giant Robot 2″ which opened on September 24. This Deth P. Sun painting is amazing, and I think it’s his best work to date.

It doesn’t get much better than this Rob Sato print. You really have to see it in person to appreciate all the details.

Mari Inukai always kills me with cuteness.

Souther Salazar’s robot has a monkey friend on its arm.

It’s not a Giant Robot show without an Uglydoll appearance.

You can see more photos on my Flickr set. The show will run through October 12, so go see it and support Giant Robot 2!

Robots – A Benefit for GR2

Starting September 24, Giant Robot will host an art exhibition for the benefit of Giant Robot 2. Eric Nakamura explains in the press release that “The goal for GR2 is for the space to be self sustaining as an art space in 2012 and on.”

It’s no secret that I am a big fan of Giant Robot, especially GR2. I love their art shows because of the incredible talent they bring to their gallery space. Plus I always feel genuinely welcome which is not always the case at other places.

The art exhibition will run through October 12, and the opening reception will take place on September 24 from 6:30-10pm. Hope to see you there!
