Review: Space Cadet Topo

DGPH‘s first book Space Cadet Topo: The Day the Sun Turned Off is now available from Immedium Press. I had the chance to check out a preview copy, and I’m impressed. Since I’m not a parent, I don’t know how Space Cadet Topo is as a children’s book. But as a DGPH fan, I loved it. The artwork is extremely cute, and most of the pages would look great as art prints. I would want Space Cadet Topo and his Bot friends on a t-shirt.

As for the story, I asked guest reviewer Mia, age 4, for her opinion. She told her mom: “That was a really good story. Mom, maybe you should buy it for me so that I can get it in a package in the mail. The sun was silly, and I had fun listening to it when my mom read it to me.”

That sounds like a thumbs up to me. Pre-order your copy from Immedium; the book is scheduled to ship in October. Space Cadet Topo coloring pages are available for free download here.
