I’m backing the Army of Snipers x The Little Lotus Project Documentary on Kickstarter for a few reasons. First, I know two of the artists involved Ritzy Periwinkle and JRYU, and sometimes that is reason enough for me to show my support.
But it goes beyond that — I believe in the power of art, especially to change young lives. Maybe that sounds corny to some, but I really do believe. Take a moment to view the video above, and maybe you will be compelled to lend your support to this humanitarian project.
The charity SpinningTop is taking 12 talented artists to the Thai/Burma border to work with and inspire refugee and migrant children who have fled from the instability of Burma. During this trip, the artists will work together with the children of Sky Blue School and SAW School for two weeks where they will undertake a number of youth development and education projects with an artistic focus.
By visiting this link, you can help fund the trip and associated expenses of artists Ritzy Periwinkle, Angry Woebots, and J*RYU, as well as filmmaker Daniel Zana who will be documenting the project.
I believe this is a worthy cause, and I hope agree, too. They have 9 days to fund this project and still need much support!
