On Friday, May 22, the Japanese American National Museum will host the ‘Hello! Exploring the Supercute World of Hello Kitty’ closing party. Festivities will include catalog signings with exhibiting artists, a performance by Nylon Pink, music by DJ Shy, photo opportunities with Hello Kitty, Hello Kitty crafts, the Hello Kitty Café truck, and complimentary appetizers and drinks courtesy of Joto Sake and Chado Tea Room. Hello! Exploring the Supercute World of Hello Kitty will be open for viewing until 10 p.m.
Artists in attendance will include Supahcute favorites: Martin Hsu
and Edwin Ushiro.
Tickets for the closing party are available online. $10 members, $30 general. JANM members get early access to the closing party starting at 6 p.m.
The Hello Kitty exhibition officially closes on May 31. Visit http://janm.org/hellokitty/tickets to purchase advance tickets (especially recommended on weekends). Tickets are discounted on Wednesdays and Thursdays through May.
