We are excited to raise funds for an organization that is such a vital resource for our community and its animals. The North Central Shelter is a high intake shelter operated by Los Angeles City Animal Services serving Northeast Los Angeles (and the surrounding areas). We believe it is important to support our local shelter, as it is often the last hope for thousands of L.A.’s dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and other downtrodden pets.

The funds we raise will go to the “Spay/Neuter Trust Fund,” which provides low/no cost spay and neutering services to pets in low-income households and funds the mobile spay/neuter clinics, as well as the “Star Program”, which provides medical treatment to severely injured, abused and neglected animals that are rescued by LA Animal Services.

Last year our Doggie Wonderland Art Show raised over $4,500 for local rescue dogs and included over 100 pieces of artwork by artists around the world. It even resulted in Wonderland getting a new four-legged staff member, Indigo! We’re hoping this year we will exceed this amount and make an even larger impact on the welfare of L.A.’s animals in need.

  1. […] We serve all kinds of artists, designers, and photographers here at Plywerk, all the way from the casual Instagramer to the most adept professional. But nothing warms our collective heart quite like seeing our art-mounting panels going to a good cause (especially when there are cute animals involved!). One of our customers, Lili Chin, just let us know that she ordered Plywerk custom prints of two illustrations for a benefit auction for Wonderland Art For Animals. […]
